What does 'Double Preferred Provider' mean for my heath fund benefits?

A preferred provider is a dental practice that has an agreement with a health fund to charge set fees for certain services. This usually means lower out-of-pocket costs for members of that fund compared to visiting a non-preferred practice.

How 'Double Preferred Provider' Benefits You

At A Plus Dental in Chelsea Heights, we are preferred providers for multiple major health funds including Medibank, BUPA and HCF. We are also members of Smile.com.au.

If you hold both a private health fund card and a Smile.com.au membership, you can present both at your appointment and be charged the lower of the two fees. This can reduce your gap payment even further.

Making the Most of Your Benefits

We accept all health funds and process claims on the spot through HICAPS, so you only pay the gap at the time of your visit. If you are not sure what your fund covers, our Chelsea Heights team can help you check your benefits before your appointment.
